Palais de Chine's excellent facilities, food and most of all, their ever-courteous, multilingual and professional employees - especially Le Salon lounge staff Angelina and Polly - never fail to impress me during each of my numerous stays with them.

I have had the privilege of having staying in either 4 or 5 star hotels whether it is personal or business. Generally speaking I find a lot of 5 star these days fall short completely and Palais de Chine is not one of those. Quiet, luxurious, keen attention to details and housing some fine dining on the 17th floor. The door persons are warm and friendly and efficient as are the housekeeping and front desk attendants as well. Will def stay here again when I am back in Taipei next and highly recommend this hotel. Lastly, special thanks to Concierge Assistant Manager Ken Tso for making the experience even better and putting the cherry on top.

Stayed here for 7 days for a business trip. Great location, roomy and comfortable room! The staffs are very friendly and helpful in every aspect! Polly and Shana are very attentive and provided top notch services during the stay. The breakfast is also a rare find! There are ample selections and quality is excellent! I will definitely stay here again!

Does not feel like a 4.5 luxury hotel

I checked in around 12:30/1am with two rooms for my family. The room they initially gave me faced the bridge and it was so incredibly loud with all the vehicles passing by. Thankfully they switched me to a better (executive) room without a hitch, but I find it unacceptable to give that room to any paying guest. The entire hotel is so dark and dreary. It looks almost depressing. But you get used to it. Decor is very unusual as well. Breakfast is big, but just ok. I’m sure the local cuisine is nice (I did not try), but the continental variety (pastries, cereal) is not good. Staff was very helpful with helping me navigate the MRT and sight seeing spots. Location is perfect - literally right next to Qsquare mall and MRT Taipei main station. Other than the location, I would personally not choose this hotel again. I feel terrible saying this, but I didn’t get any “luxury” feel to it.
